It seems a large group of people are going to buy the Expansion Pass for Pokémon Sword and Shield.
As avid Pokémon Sword and Shield fans wait for the Expansion Pass to kick off June 2020, it seems those interested in the passes are growing. According to Famitsu (via Japanese Nintendo), 88 percent of their 900 or so respondents are interested and going to purchase the pass.
Meanwhile, a lowly 10 percent aren’t completely sure and a meager two percent have no intention on purchasing the pass whatsoever. This isn’t too shocking, some fans still rag on them for leaving out a ton of its library of pocket monsters and some simply don’t care for the game for valid reasons.
On the flip side, Famitsu is a Japanese magazine, as well, as such it’s more or less taking into account Japan alone.
Last month, fans were treated to a Pokémon-centered Nintendo Direct that revealed their intentions of adding DLC. This being instead of making a third game. Both DLC can be purchased through the Expansion Pass. The overall contents expected in the two include brand-new areas, clothing, legendaries, mythicals, and – yes – more older generation Pokémon.

The first DLC – The Isle of Armor – is scheduled to hit digital shelves in June 2020. Its second DLC – The Crown Tundra – will be available sometime this fall.
What do you think? Are you hyped for the DLC or are you going to let it pass you by?
