A new Animal Crossing: New Horizons patch is coming our way nerfing how frequent Bunny Day eggs appear.
As you are probably aware, the Bunny Day update has received its fair share of criticism. You can even check out our thoughts here. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has updated to version 1.1.4 just yesterday and the egg spawn rates have been tweaked. This was detailed on Nintendo’s official website, stating that eggs will be affected up until April 11.
Hopefully, this will improve the fishing mechanics and allow us to actually capture the critters for our museum collection. The Bunny Day event ended up being kind of rotten. Players were not amused at the egg-based infestation plaguing their islands.
If you’re unaware of this ongoing event, Bunny Day introduces a bunch of new items for you to craft. All the materials for these recipes are easter egg-related, which are now scattered throughout your island. They appear everywhere, in the sky, ocean, trees, and even underground.
It is likely that we won’t be seeing them as much until Easter itself. This makes a lot more sense from a design perspective. There will probably be more recipes to unlock on April 12.
