The roguelike, Danger Scavenger, is coming to the Switch sometime later this year.
The new title, Danger Scavenger by Piotr Wolk and Star Drifters was revealed recently to be a new title coming to the Nintendo Switch and Steam in 2020. With the reveal trailer and studio not having a very popular YouTube channel, this new addition to the roguelike genre can easily be a case of a quality title being accidentally swept under the radar.
As of now, little is known about this new title outside of the short 30-second gameplay video that was uploaded earlier this month to the Star Drifters’ YouTube channel.
What Do We Know About Danger Scavenger?
The game is said to be a roguelike-style game, which is played from a top-down viewpoint has little to be known about how its gameplay mechanics work at the moment. What is known is the player can defeat enemies alone or in groups of four. Also as well as this, there will be six different scavengers that the player can choose from, with every scavenger having both its own pros and cons and their own destiny that awaits them… with their own risks to overcome.

As the player, you take on up to five evil organizations. As well as this, you can face up to thirty different enemies. Similarly to titles such as Enter the Gungeon and Exit the Gungeon, there is an abundance of items to choose from. Players can choose from 30+ weapons to defeat their enemies. As well as this, the active and passive item system is in place with over 50+ items to obtain and choose from.
If you enjoy perma-death titles or games such as Enter the Gungeon, perhaps Danger Scavenger should be a game on your radar this year. Whether you choose to play it on Steam or Nintendo Switch is your decision.
