Huntdown Coming To Nintendo Switch This Month

Huntdown

Huntdown is coming to the Switch later this month.

Are you looking for a game to scratch that 16-bit itch? Well, Easy Trigger Games and Coffee Stain Studios may just have what you’re looking for and it’s coming this month. Developed by the prior of the two, Huntdown is a 16-bit Contra-like run-and-gun. The game allows you to play with a friend as you traverse the crime-riddled streets.

Hit hard with one of the three available bounty hunters – Anna Conda, John Sawyer, or Mow Man. Play and adapt to those with different strengths. Even though it looks straight out of the arcade days, it’s far more action-packed looking than others. Not only does it sport a pretty pixel art style, but it’s also clocking in at 60fps to boot.

In its reveal trailer, it hit all the marks of nostalgia for those looking for an outrageously corny arcade-like game. The trailer featured the stereotypical gruff narrator talking about laying waste to the criminal underworld. Apparently, when citizens are in trouble, police step in, but it’s up to you to step in when police are the ones in need of help.

Huntdown coming to the Switch has been a long time coming. It was already announced all the way back in 2017, but it just never happened… until now that is. You can get yourself a copy when it launches on May 12.

Are you going to pick yourself up a copy or let it slip? Tell us below!
