Mario Kart Tour launched its multiplayer. Now, you can enjoy it with your friends.
Mario Kart Tour has updated and now you can finally take the time to play with friends. In a recent update, they added the long-awaited multiplayer feature to its mobile app.
It was an open secret they were working on multiplayer functionality. Back in December, it started allowing its Gold Pass members to beta test it before it went live. But, they never fully explained when it would come out to all its players, many of which are taking advantage of its free-to-play nature.
Now, if a player wishes, up to eight players can play together. This isn’t limited, though, to your friends as you can – if you want – play against others around the globe. To commemorate the update, Nintendo put out a quick trailer, confirming its release to anyone out of the know.
Last week, Nintendo revealed its intention to release the update. The races players can find themselves in depends on the plan the player is on. If you’re playing for free then you’ll only have access to the standard tracks. If you’re shelling out the $5 a month for Mario Kart Tour’s Gold Pass then you’ll have access to the Gold Track.
To get access to the multiplayer functionality, you have to have cleared at least one cup.
