Monstrum is coming to the Switch this May.

The digital release of Soedesco’s and Team Junkfish’s Monstrum has been announced. However, the physical release is yet to be determined due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The horror survival game was originally released on Steam in 2015. Now, in 2020, it’s being released to every other major platform – including the Switch.

In the game, players awake in a derelict cargo ship. Trapped, with no memory of how or why they got there. Hunted by a monstrous predator, players must navigate their way through a series of labyrinths to find clues and tools on the ship in order to escape. The only way to survive this nightmare is to distract, hide from, and slow the monster down as the players are left defenseless throughout their gameplay.

The twist? Players only have one chance to beat this thing. There are no save points, so once you die, that’s it. You have to start over again from the beginning.

Monstrum

Be prepared for the unexpected, as no two gameplays are the same. With each new game, players will find that everything changes – pathways, items, and even the monster.

You can expect this survival horror to hit digital shelves on May 22.

Will you be downloading Monstrum in May? Are you ready for the horrors that await? Let us know below!
