A Twitter poll revealed fans want banana trees in Stardew Valley and its creator will deliver.

After a recent Twitter poll, Stardew Valley Creator Eric Barone (ConcernedApe) has confirmed the next big update will include banana trees. Bananas were one of four types of fruit that were on the poll, the other options consisting of mangoes, avocados, and grapefruit. Now bananas may not be a super exciting change for some people, however, it’s extremely hard to disagree with anything that Barone adds to this charming game!

The next update will include the following fruit tree:

There is already a multitude of fruit trees in the game. There are oranges, apples, apricots, cherries, peaches, and pomegranates, each of which yields their fruit during one season of the year. Will banana trees be available to plant like the others or will they be available in a different area of the map, like the cactus fruit? Barone has not said anything more on the subject but I – for one – am dying to know more about this update.

The 1.5 Stardew Valley update was announced by Barone on Twitter during February, only a few months after the long-awaited 1.4 release. He stated that 1.5 was “in the works” and confirmed that this update would be free. This is the same as the 1.4 update, which he released in December last year. For now, this is the only information that Barone has disclosed about the 1.5 update, but we’re as excited as all of you to see what else is in store!
