Octopath Traveler

Octopath Traveler has sold two million copies.

Square Enix’s Octopath Traveler has crossed the two million units sold mark. To commemorate this momentous event, the studio has discounted the game for a limited time on both the Switch and Steam versions.

The news broke through Nintendo of Europe’s Twitter. The official game’s Twitter then retweeted it, clarifying the deals will be for both Europe and the US.

To celebrate 2 million copies sold, OCTOPATH TRAVELER is 50% off until 02/04!

The game’s previous milestone of one million copies was hit merely three weeks after it went public. It built itself up as an action-RPG with the same developer as the beloved Final Fantasy franchise and the same producers as Bravely Default.

As the player, you can take control of one of eight travelers with unique backgrounds, skills, and aspirations. As with many other RPGs, you can choose to go it alone or team up with AI companions and let the original Final Fantasy-esque charm really sink in. Oh, and yes, it’s a pixel-art title with turn-based combat.

Absolutely loves Pokémon and sought to write about it and Nintendo as a whole. After coming to the final decision... he decided to just start one himself all the while contributing to many other publications.
