PONG Quest

Atari has announced PONG Quest, a weird modern take on the arcade classic.

PONG Quest is a brand-new humorous RPG being developed by Chequered Ink. It’s heading to Nintendo Switch sometime in 2020.

In Quest, you’ll go on an adventure as a young paddle as you explore various dungeons. The locations will be based on other Atari classic titles such as Asteroids and Centipede. On your journey, you’ll discover the mysteries of the Spooky Door.

PONG Quest

Throughout the game, you’ll venture across a fantasy world as you defeat a variety of paddle opponents in RPG-inspired battles. Unlockable PONG balls will allow you to be strategic, and costumes are available to design your paddle. Alongside this, you can equip the paddle with sunglasses if you really wanted to.

Aside from the main story mode, you can take it online. The game allows you to play online with up to three players, and you can carry over your customization options from the main game. With over 50 PONG balls to collect, you’ll be able to determine your optimal playstyle.

PONG Quest launches on Nintendo Switch and other platforms later this spring. It will cost $14.99 USD.

What do you think? Are you going to pick up PONG Quest when it launches?
