Animal Crossing: New Horizons gets updated, getting rid of the duplication glitch and more.
Nintendo has rolled out an update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The version 1.1.1 update, according to the patch notes, will “fix a major issue impacting game balance.” The update isn’t a big one, it won’t take you long to download the content. What could this update resolve?
It is probably the result of the infamous item duplication glitch surfacing online. Twitter has been bombarded with examples of this and the big N has seemingly taken notice. As the glitch picked up steam, YouTube tutorials were also being posted and a selection of them has since been removed. Nintendo probably struck them down as this glitch was very easy to pull off.
With this glitch, players were easily able to obtain multiple rare items. This made the progression of the game very easy. The point of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is to slowly build up your island.
To continue playing online, you’ll have to download this update. If this particular glitch has been patched, the game will definitely be balanced. Animal Crossing is a game all about patience, so Nintendo’s decision is understandable. On the other hand, this could be something completely different.
