The previous game in the series, Rhythm Heaven Megamix, was initially released back in 2015 for the 3DS. It was acclaimed by both critics and fans, with Metacritic scores of 83 and 8.1 respectively. Naturally, demand for a switch edition has existed in the fan base for years. A petition to “Create a Rhythm Heaven Game for the Nintendo Switch” currently has over 1,000 signatures. Likewise, a post on Reddit entitled “Mighty need of a Rhythm Heaven on Switch,“ has over 600 upvotes and 115 comments.
If you are interested in the series coming to Nintendo’s latest platform, be sure to make your voice heard and support Tsunku. While you wait, however, there are several high-quality rhythm games already on Switch that might keep you satisfied. This includes Thumper, a unique action, Rhythm game that was initially released in 2016 and has a score of 85 on Metacritic. Other critically acclaimed rhythm games on Switch include Superbeat: XONiC, and Musynx.
